Seeking young artists trialling a new creative skillsmicro-credential!
Are you a young and creative person living in the Gippsland area? Have you taken part in programs at the Gippsland Art Gallery or other arts organisations before? If so, we have an opportunity for you.
The Vital Arts research team (RMIT University) are developing a Microcredential program that assesses the diverse skills that young people develop through arts participation. This is a two-hour workshop where young people will take part in fun, collaborative activities and discuss and uncover the skills they have used during the session.
The young people who participate will be awarded a VitalArts microcredential, a digital badge that is shareable on your digital profiles and resumes. By building on your arts experience, you will be able to demonstrate how your creative, collaborative and problem-solving skills gained through arts participation are valued and potentially transferable in a wide range of broader employment or study contexts. Participants will also receive a $50 gift voucher for their time.
Vital Arts is an Australian Research Council Linkage Project based at RMIT University. The project focuses on recognising how youth arts participation builds the sought after 21st Century Creative Skills needed to navigate today’s changing employment landscape.
